Mark your calendars for May 1st when the modified Spring Quaker Market will be held as a “drive-up” and pick-up, modified Market. Orders must be placed in advance. Look for Quaker Market emails for detail. The due date for ordering food, plants and olive oil is April 23rd.

First Day School

The Children’s Religious Education Committee and their “Second Circle” would like to extend the invitation to the broader AFM community to volunteer to help out with First Day School at some point during the remainder of the school year. This would help our small circle of adults already involved, and would be a great opportunity for you to help build community across ages at AFM. And, it’s fun!

AFM Minutes

As Quakers will, they create Minutes as records of decisions made or as a line in the sand drawn or an advocacy that the members feel strongly about. When the Meeting (i.e., the group of people who have gathered to discuss business) is in unity about an issue, a Minute is drafted, read, approved and posted.

Annapolis Friends Meeting has eleven (11) Minutes ranging from 1994 to this year (2021), in addition to the records from our Meetings for Worship (MfW) with Attention to Business (wAtB). In the meetinghouse, many of the decision Minutes or advocacy Minutes are in frames hanging on the foyer wall. The eleven (11) Minutes are also posted on the AFM website. From the Homepage > About Us > Meeting Minutes > Click on Meeting Decision Minutes.  Or you can use the following link: Meeting Decision Minutes.

5th Night Light – Every Thursday evening

From 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm, the AFM community engages in a spiritual practice that acknowledges the Light of God within each person and that to be in community is to actively care for one another. During that time, Friends hold people and situations who need additional spiritual support in the Light. Friends will pause wherever they may be, read the list of names, and hold each person or situation in our hearts and in the Light. On Wednesday, the list of names or situations are sent out to the AFM-Announce list.
