Quaker Market Donation Guidelines

Quaker Markets present the potential to fulfill a variety of roles including raising funds and awareness for our selected causes, building community, and providing an outlet for individuals to simplify their lives by donating items in good condition that are no longer needed, so that they can be connected with folks who need them.

We accept a wide variety of donations including:

  • auto supplies
  • bedding
  • books
  • camping
  • cd's and dvd's
  • children's books and toys
  • clothing and accessories
  • craft and art supplies
  • electronics that work and are recent vintage
  • fine art
  • furniture (by arrangement, light enough to be moved by two people)
  • gardening supplies
  • holiday items
  • housewares and small (working) appliances
  • jewelry
  • musical instruments
  • pet supplies
  • sporting goods
  • stationary
  • tools
  • vintage.

If there is something we've missed, please just ask.

We are unable to accept:

  • Audio cassettes
  • CRT monitors and TVs
  • VHS tapes
  • Furniture too heavy to be moved by two people
  • Electronics that don't work and/or are older than 5 years
  • Anything broken, moldy, musty, stained, ripped or toxic.

Quaker Markets are held twice a year, the first Saturdays in May and December. We accept donations starting the Sunday prior to Quaker Market, and earlier by arrangement if our storage space permits.
