Join ACT for the Vote on the
Essential Worker Housing Bill

Monday, December 18th, the County Council will likely be voting on the Essential Worker Housing Bill. This bill is critical tool in a full toolkit of strategies to increase access to housing that is attainable for all in our County.

The County Council recently passed a number of amendments that water down the bills effectiveness. We are disappointed by these changes, but are still calling on the Council to pass this legislation and begin the process of creating more affordable units through inclusionary zoning. We must start somewhere and continue to fight to improve the program.

Our presence at the hearing on Monday night is critical for urging our Councilmembers to pass this bill. Join us to remind our elected officials of their commitments to advance affordable housing.
