Community Engagement

Through our committees, broader Quaker organizations, and interfaith alliances,  Annapolis Friends Meeting acts locally and thinks globally on the great concerns of our time such as: world peace, alternatives to violence, racial justice, homelessness, LGBTQ rights, and protection of the environment.

We are very active in our community. Our Meeting and individuals contribute resources (time, money and physical space) to valued organizations and causes. Among those include: the Light House Homeless Support Center, ACT (Anne Arundel Connected Together, part of IAF (Industrial Areas Foundation), Black Lives Matter, AACRC (Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center), Interfaith Action, One America Movement, the William Penn House in Washington, D.C., dismantling racism workshops and discussions, and climate change education.
